Meal Plan Information

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2011-2012 academic year.

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

To add or make changes to a meal plan or munch money, please send your request to foodmealplans@usi.edu

include your full name, student id number, along with your request. Please be sure to put something in the Subject line of the email or it will go to the Junk Mail folder. This will be automatically charged to your university account through the 1st week of the semester. Any meal plans charged to you university account thereafter require special permission through the bursar. A confirmation will be sent to you upon approval. If you need assistance please call the Food Service Office at 812-464-1859.

 

2011-2012 Meal Plans

Students, whether living on or off campus, looking to stretch their dollars
have the following plans to choose from. 

Those in Residence Halls and on-campus apartments please select from the following three:

For students who prefer to eat every day of the week in the Loft and flexibility for
retail dining at their leisure:

  • Red Eagle Plan $1680.00                      Add to your University Account
    12 buffet meals per week in The Loft
    $480 Dining Dollars per semester

For students who choose to eat most of their meals in the Loft and flexibility for retail dining:

  • White Eagle Plan $1680.00                  Add to your University Account
    11 buffet meals per week in The Loft                
    $525 Dining Dollars per semester                                  

                                                                          

For students who prefer the most flexibility for choosing where and when they eat:

  • Blue Eagle Plan $1680.00                   Add to your University Account 
    9 buffet meals per week in The Loft
    $590 Dining Dollars per semester

 

Two(2) buffets can be used per day --Your choice of: Breakfast Buffet, Dinner Buffet, or Exchange Meal Combo.

Buffet Meals are issued FRIDAY of each week.

There are a total of 14 buffet meals available per week, not including Exchange Meals.

 

These additional options are perfect for those living in on-campus apartments or commuter students.

For students who would enjoy an average of four Loft buffets per week and also retail options:

  • Titanium $1129.00 Buy Now (by credit card only)      -OR-    Add to your University Account
    70 buffet meals per semester
    $640 Munch Money plus 10% additional funds bonus ($704 total)

For students who would enjoy an average of three Loft buffets per week and also retail options:

  • Platinum $849.00 Buy Now (by credit card only)   -OR-   Add to your University Account
    50 buffet meals per semester
    $465 Munch Money plus 8% additional funds bonus ($502.20 total)

For students who enjoy eating their meals at home with an occasional meal each week with us:

  • Gold $639.00 Buy Now (by credit card only)      -OR-     Add to your University Account
    32 buffet meals per semester
    $386 Munch Money plus 6% additional funds bonus ($413.02 total)

(All munch money purchases are tax exempt)

All funds added to your account will be enriched as followed:

$50-$149.......5% enrichment

$150-$349.......6% enrichment

$350-$399.....7% enrichment

$400-$549....8% enrichment

$550+..........10% enrichment

**Enrichment funds will not show up on your receipt until all regular funds are depleted. To check your total balance including enrichment funds, take your card to any cashier or the food service office and ask for a balance check.

Important Info

  • Students on RED, WHITE, or BLUE can use two(2) buffet meals per day.
  • Students on RED, WHITE, and BLUE are issued meals on FRIDAY of each week.
  • Students on RED,WHITE, or BLUE meal plans have the option of swapping buffet meals for select combos at Burger King, Sub Connection, Salsa Rico, Cyclone Salads, and The Eagle Express Convenience Store from 3pm-Close, be sure to let your cashier know you would like use your Board Exchange Meal to take advantage of this offer.
  • Students on GOLD, PLATINUM, or TITANIUM plans have the option of exchanging their unused buffet meals for munch money.
  • Any unused Dining Dollars/Munch Money will carry over from fall semester to spring. All unused money will be void after the last day of spring semester.
  • For students on GOLD, PLATINUM, or TITANIUM plans, any unused buffet meals will carry over from fall semester to spring. All unused meals will be void after the last day of the spring semester.
  • All plans automatically renew for the second semester.
  • Report lost or stolen card to the Eagle Access Office at (812) 465-1124. If closed, call the Safety & Security Office at (812) 464-1845.

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your tray and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable.  Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
